SOCIOLOGY

The department of Sociology was started in the year 1999 as an Elective – I and Elective – II course only. But in the year 2020-2021 the college has started Sociology as a Core course in Self-Financed Programme. Now Sociology has been introduced as a Core Course, Elective – I and Elective-II subject in B.A. During the B. A. Semester- I to VI, the department offers many interesting papers. At present there are three faculties in Sociology in the college. One faculty in Grant in Aid and two other faculty is in Self-financed programme. Shri R.M. Patel is working as an Associate Professor since December, 2000 in Grant in Aid college and he is pursuing his Ph. D from Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra. The other two faculty members in Sociology subject in the college are Rana Varshaben S. and Baria Jashwantsinh J. they have been appointed in Self –Financed U.G course. There are good number of books, reference books available in the college library.
